arabic words are used within all four languages spoken in mauritania: sonike, hassaniya, wolof, and pulaar. bismillah, roughly translated, means welcome.
so we'll see how this goes. i hope this can be a place where those of you who would like to can get information on what i'm up to and how this whole peace corps thing is working out.

Amazingly fantastic! Haha ( ^_^) I love the pictures. Best wishes from this side of the pool. I just got done teaching my first week of 3rd/4th/5th grade... pray for me....LoL. Bah it was fun tho I'm sure you'll be wonderful, Congrats again!
